Geopolymer Foundation

By the end of the CSRP term (June 2010) it was planned for the Geopolymer Alliance to transform into an independently funded Geopolymer Foundation. This transition is currently occuring and it is planned that the Foundation will continue the work of the Alliance but take a greater role in fostering the uptake of geopolymer technology throughout a range of industries. It will become proactive in co-operatively planning and funding research and development programs between third parties and where necesssary, sub-contracting research projects to specialist R&D centres throughout the world.

If considered appropriate, at some stage in the future it could take on a global educational role, running world geopolymer conferences, workshops and training courses in geopolymer technology. Assisting with the development of local and world Standards, Codes Of Practice and Test Methods will always be a key element of its charter.

In conflict with human nature, this Foundation will attempt to overcome the natural reluctance to share scientific information that may be seen by some as having Intellectual Property value, by promoting public domain disclosure wherever possible.
